 Dallas Morning News 6 May 1889 Whitecaps in Grayson County. WHITESBORO, Tex., May 5 - A negro living a few miles northeast of Whitesboro was taken from his home and terribly whipped by a party of about twenty men disguised as whitecaps. It is claimed that the negro addressed insulting remarks to a lady residing in the vicinity. The negro is said to be in critical condition.
