FARM HOME LOST IN BLAZE MONDAY
The country home of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Thompson who reside on the Jamison farm several miles north of town, was totally destroyed by fire Monday morning at 9 o'clock.  Originating in the fireplace while the members of the family were absent from the home, most all of the furnishings and personal effects were lost in the blaze.
The Whitesboro Fire Department responded to the call and through the use of chemicals the smokehouse, in which meat, lard and other foodstuff were stored, was saved.
The residence was covered with insurance.

CARD OF THANKS
I wish to take this method of expressing my thanks to the members of the Whitesboro Fire Department and those persons who worked so valiantly to save the residence on my farm which was destroyed by fire Monday Monday morning.
Mrs. G.P. Jamison
