Sherman Daily Democrat Tuesday, March 7, 1911 pg. 7 WHITESBORO To the Democrat: Whitesboro, Tex., March 5 - Missa Novella Wood of Bonham came up Saturday to visit her sister, Mrs. John Omohundro, for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Cochiner of Denison are here, guests at the home of Mrs. J.A. Eubanks. Mrs. U.G. White is visiting her daughter in Denison. Miss Rosa Huff, who has been so seriously ill for several weeks, died Wednesday and was laid to rest in the city cemetery Thursday after funeral services at the M.E. Church conducted by the pastor, Rev. T.J. Beckham. Mr. and Mrs. Sam Henley of Sherman are visiting relatives in this city. Mrs. Dr. Carey has returned from Dallas. She was called home on account of the illness of her son, J.M., Jr. Mrs. Jessie Bessent of Sadler was here Sunday, the guest of relatives. Mr. C.V. Pearce and Miss Maggie Cox are in Waco attending the Odd Fellows' grand lodge. Mrs. Ollie Provine of Wolfe City is here, guest of Mr. and Mrs. M.A. Provine. Rev. J.V. Thomas of Sherman was here Sunday and preached two interesting sermons at the Christian church. Mrs. J.R. Love, an old-time resident of this community, died last Sunday of paralysis. Besides her husband, she leaves 7 grown children to mourn her death. Mrs. G.W. Walker and grand-daughter, Miss Fay Easom, visited in Collinsville Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Godwin have returned from Sherman where Mr. Godwin underwent an operation for appendicitis. Miss Lula Hayes of Pottsboro visited her parents here last week.
