City Bank
1886
Judge Joseph Bledsoe, of Sherman, was the first president of the first bank.
City Bank of Sherman built a $2,500 building at the corner of Main St. and Center St.
Sept. 19, 1895

The Sherman Bank sold its interest to the City Bank of Whitesboro.
A co-partnership, organized, consisted of H. L. Hall, J. M. Buchanan, H. H. Robertson,
B. Bennett, C. D. Anderson, F. G. Jamison.
1909The City Bank of Whitesboro became a state bank.
1914

The City Bank of Whitesboro became the City National Bank.
- consolidated with 1st Nat'l Bank & Security State Bank, became Whitesboro Consolidated Bank
- became the Whitesboro Consolidated Bank
1940Security National Bank of Whitesboro opened under new management
June 1961A new $50,000 building was opened at the corner of Main St. and Center St.
