First Public Meeting Place This log cabin was the first public meeting house in the history of Whitesboro. The building was built in 1855 and was
used as a combination school, church and lodge hall. After the building was abandoned for its original purpose, it was purchased by a blacksmith who used the house for his shop for a number of years. The building was torn down about 1953. Whitesboro History Susan Hawkins © 2024 If you find any of Grayson CountyTXGenWeb links inoperable, please send me a message. |
