 The
postcard below, postmarked April 11, 1910, of Presbyterian College in
Durant, Oklahoma, was purchased on ebay.com recently. On the back
of the card is a message from John J. McKillip, a carpenter living in
Durant, to his wife. She was getting ready to join him from elsewhere
in Oklahoma, evidently boarding with a Mrs. Shivers in Price, Oklahoma.
The two of them were enumerated, boarding with another couple in
Durant, fifteen days later in the 1910 Census. I mention the
