Thursday, January 3, 1878 pg. 4 We learn from the Democrat that a skirmish took place at Whitesboro last Wednesday between John McCord and Theo. Hart. McCord made the attack with a walking cane for personal remarks made by Hart. Hart drew a pistol and fired but missed. Hart then ran, followed by McCord, who struck him several licks with the cane.
