Thursday, May 28, 1925 Pg. 1 NEGRO WOMAN DIES OF FRIGHT FROM STORM The wind storm last Saturday morning about 3 o'clock caused the death of a Negro woman, wife of Henry Ball, in the Whiterock Negro settlement west of town. According to reports, when the storm hit the shack where the Negress lived, she fell to the floor unconscious, dying soon thereafter. A Negro church and one Negro house was demolished in the Whiterock settlement.
