WELCH ITEMS
Welch, Texas, May 26 - J. Jenkins was in Tioga Sunday.
Emi King was in Gunter Sunday.
Mrs. C.H. Copeland returned from Ft. Worth Friday.
J.A. Williamson was in Sherman last week.
Geo. Grissom and wife of Pilot Point were here Sunday.
H.C. Hite and wife of Whitesboro were here last week.
S.R. Smith and family were in Pilot Point Saturday.
Johnie Smalley of Healdon, Oklahoma was here last week.
The singing here Sunday night was well attended.
Mrs. Jas. Pigg of Gunter is here visiting her mother, Mrs. Julia King.
Mrs. Josiah Brown of Whitesboro visited Mrs. G.N. Hite Sunday.
Miss Minnie Emmons of Southmayde visited her sister, Miss Marcella Emmons last week.
Lee Graham and mother, Mrs. W.R. Graham, were in Dorchester Sunday.
Geo. and Lee Graham went to Gunter today after a new binder.
The citizens met Saturday morning and cleaned off the Patton grave yard.
Will Petty and daughter Miss Laura and Miss Ivah King were in Tioga Saturday.
Mrs. S.D. Washburn and children returned to their home in Burkburnet Friday.
Chas. Montgomery went to Hobart, Oklahoma last week to attend the burial of his father, G.W. Montgomery.
Prof. Dunagan of Dorchester will begin a 20 day singing normal here the first Monday in August.
I. Jenkins and wife, W.C. Roberts and wife, T.J. Roberts and wife and Jim Clark and wife were visiting near Gunter Sunday.
Mrs. G.N. Hite served a birthday dinner to a few of her relatives Sunday.  Those present besides the family were Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Tarr, Mr. and Mrs. F.P. Varley and children of Collinsville; and Mrs. Josiah Brown of Whitesboro.  The event was in honor of Mrs. Hite's birthday.  The day was enjoyed by all present, and when the time came for each one to go to their homes, they left wishing her many happy returns of the day.
