doctors as the mineral water became more commercialized. In 1890 there were two doctors out of a total population of 200: Drs. J.S. Nichols and Robert Craig. Advertisements in the Tioga Tribune in 1902 showed three doctors: Dr. E. E. Ledbetter, Dr. R. W. Sadler and Dr. C. R. Carver. By 1914, there were two doctors: Dr. Ledbetter and Dr. John C.M. Carty.
