TIOGA NEWS

Mr. and Mrs. B.T. Worsham visited their son, Mr. and Mrs. Tommy Worsham and children in Dallas, Sunday.  The Tommy Worshams are moving to Nogales, Arizona, where he has accepted a position.
Mr. and Mrs. Tracy Tollerson and children of Plano and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shearon were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. T.T. Tolerson Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. John Davis announce the arrival of a daughter February 15.  Mr. and Mrs. Robert David are grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Stephens of Ft. Worth visited Mrs. Nattie Lee Blair in Tioa and Miss Nora Blair at the hospital in Denton.
Elder and Mrs. H.G. Ball attended worship services at the Primitive Baptist Church in Farmers Branch Sunday.  Elder Ball was the guest speaker.
Tioga Homemakers Club met Friday, February 20 for an all day meeting.   A covered dish luncheon was served.  Vice-President Mrs. Minnie Billmeier conducted the business session.  Mrs. Seals resigned as President of the club due to her job.  Most of the afternoon was spent in filling out the club's yearbooks.  Seven members attended.
Services were held Wednesday at the Turrentine-Jackson Funeral Chapel in McKinney for Mrs. A.J. Smith, 88, who died in the Collin Memorial Hospital in McKinney.  Rev. Lawrence Gholson of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Rev. Earl J. Roger of McKinney conducted the services.  Mrs. Smith was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W.D. Dunn.  She was a member of the Nazarene Church. Survivors include her husband, A.J. Smith of McKinney; a son, William A. Smith of McKinney; 8 daughters, Mrs. Gladys Black and Mrs. Joyce Weeks, both of McKinney; Mrs. Felda Hestand of Tioga; Mrs. Coline Stone of Dallas; Mrs. Muldred Fletcher of California; Mrs. Rachel Lasater of Ft. Worth; Mrs. Naomi Wilson of Michigan; and Mrs. Juanuta Bolin of Arkansas.  Mr. and Mrs. Smith and family formerly lived  in Tioga.  Among those from Tioga attending the services were Mrs. Faye Wooten, Mrs. Auneen Brown and Mrs. Minnie Billmeier.
Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. F.H. Bullmeier were Mrs. Maxine Clark of Ft. Worth; Mr. and Mrs. Ruddy Billmeier of Pilot Point; and Sp/14 and Mrs. Royce Calk.  Sp. Calk has recently returned from Vietnam where he served with the U.S. Armed Forces.  He will report for duties at Camp Hood.
Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Duncan of Dallas visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jack Shearon.
Mrs. Ora Baxter attended the services of her nephew, Charles Wayne Baxter, in Whitesboro Saturday.  Burial was in Collinsville Cemetery under the direction of Richards Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Mrs. Ophie Jenkins has returned home from a week visit with her daughter, Mrs. Ione Vermillion and sons in Arlington.
Mr. and Mrs. L.J. Bell attended the services for Edd Price Sunday at the Beck Funeral Chapel in Pilot Point.  Burial was in Pilot Point Cemetery under the direction of Beck Funeral Home.  Mr. Price was a cousin of Mrs. Ball.
Mrs. G.C. Pence visited her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Crafton, in Ft. Worth.
Miss Nora Blair is a medical patient in Osteopathic Hospital in Denton.
Mrs. Myrtle Clark is a medical patient in Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman.
