TIOGA
Tioga, Tex., Feb. 5 - J.P. Mershon's barn came very near being destroyed by fire last Friday afternoon.  Some small children playing in the barn set fire to the hay, but the flames were extinguished by prompt work.
Herman Morton who has been serving an enlistment in the U.S. Navy was here this week to visit his sister, Mrs. Matt Bradley.
L.M. Fox of Missouri who has been visiting C.T. Rigg and family went to Sherman Monday.
J.M. Boxley and T.M. Blair went to Collinsville Sunday to attend the funeral of Rev. B.B. Newman.
W.F. Dunn returned Saturday from Port Arthur.  He gave up his night position there but expects to get a day job at the same place in the near future.
Guy Estes of Collinsville visited here Saturday.
Thos. E. Goff of Sherman was here Saturday.
F.M. Robertson of Collinsville was here last Friday.
Elder James Duncan returned Sunday night from a tour in South Texas.
W.H. Ledbetter and S.J. Spruill of Pilot Point attended services at the Primitive Baptist Church here last Sunday.
H.B. Estes, Ed Elliott and Will Nicholson went to Sherman Monday.
E.W. Wright of Collinsville visited his son, D.L. Wright, Tuesday.
Miss Annie Bodovsky who is attending school at Denton came home Tuesday.
Mrs. J.M. Puckett went to Sherman Tuesday to visit relatives.
W.A. Richardson and wife went to Ladonia Tuesday to visit relatives.
Edgar Priddy went to Sherman Wednesday.
Virge Nicholson went to Ft. Smith, Arkansas, Wednesday.
