Baker, charged and convicted of arson in burning his drug store at the town of Tioga, in Grayson County, on the night of April 1, 1884, which has attracted so much attention was called again before his honor Judge Head this morning at 10 o'clock on motion for a new trial. The court over-ruled the motion and sentence was passed on the prisoner, who, after giving notice of an appeal in open court, was carried back to the county jail.
