Monday May 1, 1922 pg 3 SOUTHMAYD HAS NEW BANK OPEN MONDAY HAS A PAID UP CAPITAL STOCK AND SURPLUS OF $12,500 The Security State Bank, a new banking institution, opened its doors for business at Southmayd, Grayson County, Monday morning. The new bank has a capital stock of $10,000 and a surplus of $2,500. all paid up. Following are the officers: H.E. Bohrer, chairman of the board of Directors; Mike Halliday, president; I.M. Brewer, cashier. The foregoing with the following compose the board of directors: A.A. Bennett, S.H. Williams, J.R. Rodgers and J.W. Miller. The first depositor was Miss Ople Bohrer of Southmayd.
