SOUTH GALE
To the Democrat:
South Gale, January 28 - S.T. Maddux gave a farewell singing and party at their home one night last week before moving to their new home west of Denison.
F.P. Clement and family entertained the young people with a singing Saturday night in honor of their daughter, Miss Grace Clement, who is attending school in Denison.
Mr. and Mrs. J.J. May and children were guests of their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. F.P. Clement Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Outlay and children were guests of their cousins, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Hill and family of Denison Saturday night and Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. J.A. Foster are in receipt of a letter from their son, Earl Foster, who is now located on Missouri Island.  He is with the Merchants Marines and is well, but anxious to get back to the states.
Dewey Mason, who has been in training camps, has returned home after being honorably discharged, and was a guest at the home of H.A. Woods and family.
Miss Mason visited Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Woods Saturday night and Sunday.
Pearle Crouse purchased a fine cow in Denison Monday.
H.A. Woods went to Denison Tuesday on business.
Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Woods and children were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Trimm at Cherry Mound Sunday.
W.A. Hill and mother are reported on the sick list at this writing.
F.P. Clement has been marketing sweet potatoes in Denison.
H.A. Anderson was in Denison Friday on business.
Mr. McCarrel was a guest of his daughter, Mrs. M.H. Harrod of Starr one day last week.
Flody Miller was in Denison Monday.
F.P. Clement killed hogs Monday.
Mrs. Frizzell is reported sick at this writing.
Mr. and Mrs. Harris were in Denison Monday.
Mr. Lance, who has been on the sick list, is much improved.
