SHERMAN OIL MILL STRIKE
Sherman, Tex., Oct. 1 - The night shift in the press rooms of the Sherman Oil and Cotton company did not materialize in any large numbers when the time for them to go to work came last night.  A great many of the men engaged in the walk-out have done just as they stated to The News correspondent they intended to do, they have gone to the cotton fields, from which there is still an unsatisfied demand for cotton pickers.  The mill has taken advantage of the situation to temporarily shut down today and overhaul some of the machinery.
