NEW CORN MILL
O.L. Bailey and Others Will Erect a Plant on West Houston Street
Sherman will have a new enterprise shortly in the form of a custom corn mill and food crusher.
O.L.
Bailey, well known furniture man of this city, announced this morning
that work would start on such a mill within a week and would be in
operation by June 1. The site of the mill is located at Houston
and Lincoln streets, just across from the city park property. Mr.
Bailey owns an 18 foot lot on Houston, running back 90 feet on Lincoln
street, and the mill will occupy this entire space. The building
will be frame, one story in height.
Mr. Bailey announces that in
addition to operating the mill as a custom mill, he will also grind
corn for the local market. Farmers with corn to grind will be
given attention at any time, however.
E.H. Bailey will be interested in the mill with his father and will have charge of the actual management.
