IKE EXSTEIN & BRO.
Established 1883
The oldest retail business in Sherman

With 34 years of helpful service to the farmers of Grayson county and to the working people of Sherman, this firm can be justly proud of the fact that from a small beginning in September 1883, their business has steadily grown both in volume and popularity and no two business men of Sherman stand higher or have more friends in the city and country alike than Ike and Jake Exstein.
During the first 13 years of their business career they were located in the store now occupied by the Queen theatre, since which time  they have been occupying their present double stores for 21 years.  While they have ever made their business the first consideration, they have always found time to render every service demanded of them as citizens, and they have always given liberally both of their time and money towards the up-building of Sherman and Grayson County....
They always carry a full stock of men's and boys' clothing, shoes, hats and furnishing goods; ladies' suits, coats, shirts, etc.  Shoes for ladies and children and dry goods of all kinds.
