Wednesday, September 9, 1874 pg. 2 Sherman News From Our Special Correspondent Septembe 9, 1874, 12 M. Another unsuccessful foundry meeting last night. The mud gets 6" deeper every day. There will be a Jewish service at Dramatic Hall Friday evening. The child of a pauper named Hughes, was buried yesterday by public charity. One of E.K. Allen's twins, about 2 years of age, died yesterday, and was buried to-day. Wadsworth wil move his stock of hardware from Houston to North Travis street in a short time. Another peanut dealer ruined. T.J. Estes has advertised to sell out at cost, as he is compelled to attend the Hot Springs. The Dramatic Association have rented the hall over D.L. Baugh's family grocery, and will hereafter perform at that place. To-morrow night is set for reorganization. W.M. Gibson, has resided in this county several years, was yesterday evening arrested by two officers from Alabama, for murder committed in that State several years ago. A reward of $1,500 was offered for him. He was committed to jail to await a requistion.
