![]() Sherman Daily Democrat Wednesday, January 25, 1911 pg. 2 SADLER Sadler, Texas, January 23 - Brother Lee of Denison preached two very interesting sermons Sunday morning and evening to a very attentive crowd at the Christian church. Brother Andrews, the presiding elder of the Sherman district, will preach at the Methodist church next Friday night. Let us have a large crowd. Mrs. Stroud Cowen is still very sick. Mrs. Tom Smith of Gotebo, Oklahoma is visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Osmond and her many friends. Mrs. Ed Venumm returned to her home at Quanah Saturday after visiting her parents and many friends. Bob Dennard and wife are rejoicing over the arrival of a new daughter at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Hayes were visiting in Collinsville Sunday. Brother Lee was the guest of Charley Osmond and wife Sunday. Sam Harshbarger went to Denison Saturday and returned Sunday, to visit his brother-in-law, Bert Ellmore, who is seriously sick. There was a party given at H. Richardson's (Bachelor Hall) Saturday night. All report a nice time. Mr. Thornton of Southmayd was calling in our town Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Butridge were the guests of J.J. Sadler and wife Sunday. Mrs. Annie Wilson of Hagerman is visiting her brother and wife, Mr. Jim Wilson. Mr. Samp Richardson came home from Denison Saturday. Miss Kate Richardson accompanying him. Mr. Lee Bullard will leave for Florence, Alabama on the midnight train. Hazel Siebert, who is attending school in Whitesboro, came home Saturday. Her friend, Louise Erwin, accompanied her. Miss Mary Buckler of Whitesboro passed through our town Sunday. Mr. Horace Eldredge, who has been visiting in Ohio and Michigan, is visiting his cousins here. He will return to his home in Angoa about Thursday where he is operating a fruit farm. The people in general were rejoicing over the nice rain we received last week. The health of our town and community is generally good with the exception of a few cases of measles.
