Ft. Worth Gazette August 14, 1891 CHILDREN BITTEN A Dog, Believed to Have Been Mad, Attacks Them - A Railway Accident. Special to the Gazette Sherman, Grayson County, Tex., Aug. 13 - Word has reached the city telling of the serious injury of Dave Edmiston, a Sherman boy, who works on the Southwestern, down on the main line. He was in a caboose which left the track. The caboose was about demolished. Two children of Mr. Landrum's near Pottsboro, were bitten by a dog believed to be mad several days ago. Hogs and dogs bitten at the same time died with hydrophobia since. The children have been taken to a madstone, but it does not adhere yet. The parents are very uneasy. Butler Williams, colored, was discharged from the justice court today upon the charge of cutting Jim Hamilton with an axe while he lay sleeping in a waong, there being no evidence to warrant the officer in binding him over.
