Thursday, May 6, 1926 pg. 7 PILOT GROVE NEWS Farm work is again delayed this week by another heavy rain, which fell Sunday night. O.D. Hulet of Plainview came in Thursday for a few days visit with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Burr Hulet. S.F. Garland was in Whitesboro on business Friday. Lois Meeks of Oklahoma was here a few hours Thursday, visiting relatives. Miss Sue Scott visited her sister, Mrs. Birch Allison, at Whitemound this week. Mrs. Mary Judd was in Sherman Friday and Saturday. George L. Lovell of Ft. Worth spent the past week here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. Lovell. Miss Leola Neathery of Bristow, Oklahoma is spending the week with relatives here. Miss Saunders, county demonstration agent of Sherman, met a few of the ladies at the school auditorium Friday to discuss plans for the club work, which a little later is expected to be taken up again. Due to sickness and bad weather, the women could not meet regularly. Mr. and Mrs. Taylor Scott and baby were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Caraway at Whitewright Saturday night and Sunday. A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ozro Sloan May 2d. Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Sloan, Mr. and Mrs. Clint Hopper, Mrs. Noma Kaiser and other relatives were called to Sherman last week by the serious illness of Miss Carrie Sue Cameron, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Homer Cameron. Mrs. Pearl Griffin, who has been confined to her bed for several weeks with flu and pneumonia, is improving very slowly. Mr. and Mrs. Smith of Sherman were callers in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Simon Reynolds Sunday. Mr. Smith is manager of the Kerr Nursery Co. for which Mr. Reynolds is an agent. A large crowd from here attended decoration day at Vittitoe Cemetery Sunday afternoon. Miss Clara Scott was home from Sherman, where she is attending a business college, for the weekend.
