Thursday, June 10, 1926 pg. 8 PILOT GROVE NEWS The High School play, rendered here Thursday night of last week, was enjoyed by a great crowd. The play was a good one and those who had parts in it deserve to be complimented on the rendition of their parts. The teachers for the next school term have all been employed. They are: W.A. Smart, principal Ralph Judd, 6th and 7th grades Miss Jeffries of Van Alstyne, intermediates Miss Marian Barbee of Whitewright, primary Miss Louvicy Neely, Dee St. John and Edgar Bow left Monday for Commerce where they will attend school during the summer. Miss Sarah Binion spent last week at Texarkana with her nephew, Lee Binion, who has taught school there the past 2 or 3 years, and who is remaining there for the present, having accepted a position with a furniture company for the summer. Mrs. Bert Dennis and Mrs. Doyle Dennis returned to their home at Plainview last week, after a few days visit with relatives. Mrs. Abbot of Mineral Wells arrived last week for a visit with her nephew, Earl Benson, and other relatives near Whitewright. Mr. and Mrs. J.K. Pace of Ector were guests of Mrs. Annie Wilson Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Kaiser were Sherman visitors Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ross were guests of C.N. Ross and family at Ely Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. Jones of Whitewright were guests of his mother here Sunday. Ralph Judd made a business trip to Celina Monday. F.M. Sloan was in Sherman Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Binion and Mrs. Mary McAfee of near Trenton were guests of J.L. Taylor and family Sunday. The Vaughn Quartet rendered a very enjoyable concert at the school auditorium Wednesday night. A large crowd was present. The Community Farm Club meeting was postponed again from last Thursday night to June 10th at which time C.C. Morris and Miss Saunders of Sherman are expected to be here and will speak in the interest of the Fair. Last Sunday, Mrs. F. Lovell entertained her father, W.G. Ramsey, of Llano with a nice dinner for his 80th birthday. Mrs. A.F. Choats and family of Roanoke and Miss Mollie Ramsey of Houston, both sisters of Mrs. Lovell, were also present.
