PILOT GROVE NEWS
Boss Garland and Simmie, Ward, who are attending school in Tioga, spent the week-end here with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Carl Holland and family of Kentuckytown were Sunday visitors in Pilot Grove.
A.L. Conner and wife were visitors in Sherman Monday.
Miss Roberta Sloan, who is teaching in the Dallas schools, visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Sloan, last week-end.
Ernest Hughes and family of Denison were visitors of Oran Judd Tuesday.
Beecher St. John was in Sherman Monday on business.
Rev. J.A. Henderson, Mrs. Ray Henderson, Thelma and Dave Henderson, Mrs. F.M. Sloan and daughter, Louise; Mrs. C.O. Hopper; Mrs. Bud Caraway and Dolphus Hopper attended the funeral of Mrs. Chism of Paris Monday.
Edon Cato of Dallas spent the week-end with relatives here.
Mrs. J.D. Judd, Mr. and Mrs. D.C. Judd and Oran Judd were Sherman visitors Monday.
Elmer Berry of Chicago, Illinois, visited friends here last week.
Scottie McSpedden of Lubbock spent Wednesday night with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. S.T. McSpedden.
Mr. and Mrs. Boris Barnett of Ardmore, Oklahoma are visiting Mr. and Mrs. E.O. Young.
Misses Velma and Alda Mae Bush, Josie Young, Leta Medearis, Grady Baings, Patt Garner and Mrs. Nina Adams spent Sunday at "Lovers Leap."
G.W. and D.C. Judd have returned from Kilgore, where they had been looking after their oil interests.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Cox of Greenville and Miss Erline Flemming of Detroit spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Taylor.
R.D. Hughes and daughter of Sherman and Ervin Hughes of Whitewright spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Oran Judd.
Mr. and Mrs. Ewell Scott and Misses Lucille and Rosa Mae Scott, who are attending school at Commerce, spent the week-end here visiting relatives.
Mrs. S.T. McSpedden, Mrs. Bernice Davis, Mrs. D.B. Andrew and Mrs. Eula Andrew were Greenville visitors Tuesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben  Simpson spent the week with W.R. Cato and family.
Mr. and Mrs. E.T. Brown were Denison visitors Sunday.
Mrs. Grace Sloan and children of Commerce visited here for the weekend.
Miss Jessie Auten of Van Alstyne is visiting her sister, Mrs. Ernest Andrew.
Miss Ora Bell, one of the teachers in our school, visited with home folks in Anna last week-end.
Oran Judd, Jim Robertson and S.F. Garland were in Leonard on business Monday.
Miss Alma Whitaker spent last week with Miss Cassie Hunnicut.
Mrs. F.W. Cato and children spent Sunday afternoon with W.R. Cato.
There will be a play, "The Poor Married Man," at the Pilot Grove school house Friday night.  Admissions 15c.  Visitors welcome.
