PILOT GROVE NEWS
We are having some very pretty weather and the farmers are very busy planting cotton.
Owing to so much rain, the commencement exercises were given on Thursday, Friday and Monday evenings.  A good attendance was had at each of the programs and the entertainment was splendid.
Mrs. J.F. Merriett was called to be at the beside of her aunt who is very sick at Longview.
There having been so much rain the latter part of last week, the decoration was postponed until Saturday.
There will be church at the Baptist church Saturday and Sunday and Sunday school at 10 o'clock. Let all be on time - and bring someone with you.
Miss Dessie Reynolds spent a few days with Miss Verlie and Miss Mollie Neathery last week.
Mrs. Sanderson has been visiting Mrs. A.L. Cannon and others.
Mr. and Mrs. George Parrish of Elmont have been visiting the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.D. Judd.
Mrs. Gilmore Webster of Whitewright is spending a few days with her mother, Mrs. F.M. Sloan.
S.F. Garland was in Dallas last week attending a convention of ginners.
We wish to thank the teachers of this school for the good work they have done and also for their many deed of kindness.  We wish them good luck.
