Thursday, April 14, 1927 pg. 8 PILOT GROVE The recent showers of rain are fine on gardens, but causing delay in farm work. Farmers are all behind with their work. D.W. Garland of Ft. Worth was a business visitor here last week. D.M. Taylor, who has recently shipped several cars of millet seed to dealers in Kansas and Nebraska, made delivery of small quantities of seed at Celeste and Wolfe City last week. Mrs. F. Lovell, who has been in Ft. Worth for medical treatment for a few weeks, has returned to her home. G.E. Thrift and family visited relatives at Denson Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A.B. St. John and R.W. McMillin were in Sherman Saturday and Sunday, Mr. McMillin going for medical treatment. Charley Kaiser was in Dallas and McKinney Friday. Miss Lavelle Jeffries sepnt the week-end in Van Alstyne. Mrs. Thad Rhodes has been suffering from a severe attack of rheumatism. A.L. Scott, John Scott, and other relatives from here, were in Sherman Saturday and Sunday to be with their sister, Mrs. Eula Williams, who underwent a surgical operation Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Kaiser, Mrs. Lee Hulet and Mrs. Jewel Hopper were Sherman visitors Sunday. Miss Marian Barbee spent the week-end in Whitewright. Mr. and Mrs. F.M. Sloan and other relatives were called to Sherman Sunday to be at the bedside of Mrs. Beulah Powell of Tom Bean, who underwent an operation at a hospital there Sunday. A.K. Sparks and family were Sunday visitors here. Little Miss Marguerite Doggett of Van Alstyne, granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. D.M. Taylor, stepped on a needle last week and had to be carried to Sherman, where four X-ray pictures were made of her foot in order to locate and remove the needle.
