The Whitewright Sun
Friday, October 23, 1914 pg. 4 Pilot Grove Letter Oct. 18 The meeting conducted at this place by the noted ex-Catholic priest is attended by large crowds that more than fill the house. There have been two conversions and a good interest stirred up. Estia, the little daughter of Mrs. Annie Tate, is dangerously sick with typhoid fever at this writing. Mrs. Maggie Neathery of Whitewright is spending the week with relatives at this place. Mrs. Gus Viser, who had been down for several weeks with typhoid fever, is able to spend the week with her mother, Mrs. Thad Rhoads. On account of the fair weather the farmers are getting the bulk of their crop gathered and are beginning to need rain to sow their wheat. Rev. and Mrs. Bridges have returned from Collin County, where they spent last week. A niece of Mrs. Bridges accompanied them home. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Finnell have accepted a position at R.E.L. Binion's sorghum mill. They are expecting to turn out two thousand gallons of molasses this week. Albert Butt is slowly improving from fever, which has confined him to his room several days.
