PILOT GROVE
There will be a hot tamale supper at the tabernacle Tuesday night, November 20th, sponsored by the Epworth League.  The proceeds will be used to re-varnish the seats in the Methodist Church.  Hot chocolate, cake, sandwiches, and other eats will be on sale.
The usual number of second Monday trade day visitors were in Van Alstyne Monday.
Miss Sue Scott has returned from Dallas and Waxahachie, where she has been visiting relatives the past few weeks.
Miss Page Ashinhurst was home from Sherman for the week-end.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Dennis and Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Dennis of Hollis, Oklahoma have been visiting relatives here the past few days.
Misses Marian Barbee and Maurine May spent the week-end in Whitewright.
Misses Louise Sloan and Virginia Benson, who are attending school at Whitewright, spent the week-end with their parents.
Morris McCarley, Commerce school student, spent the week-end with homefolks.
Mr. and Mrs. E.E. Benson were Sherman visitors Monday.
J.L. Scott, Rufus Scott and Miss Lola Scott visited relatives in Dallas Sunday.
J.L. Taylor was in Sherman Monday for medical treatment.
Mr. and Mrs. Gus Holmes of Trenton were guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. P.A. Kilgroe.
Sunday schools and church services had good attendance Sunday.  Rev. J.A. Henderson preached at the Baptist Church at the morning and evening hours.
Rev. D.T. Knight of Anna, pastor of the local Methodist Church, will preach here next Sunday morning and night.  This will be his first visit to this appointment, and leaders of the church are hoping for good weather, good attendance and a good impression to greet him.
