The opening exercieses of the High School were well attended Friday night. The program consisted of readings, speakings and musical numbers. There were about 60 pupils enrolled, the attendance being rather small on account of some cotton to be picked yet. Several from other districts have transferred to this. Several young people from here attended Singing at Cross Roads Sunday afternoon. The Baptist meeting closed last Monday night, resulting in many conversions; twenty joined the Baptist church and eleven joined the Methodist church. D.B.
