February 10, 1889 pg 14 Pilot Grove, Tex., Feb. 6.--A very painful accident occurred to Mr. George Marshall at his home about two miles north of this place Wednesday morning. He was plowing in the field when a stray ball from the winchester of a sportsman, about one mile distance struck him in the back part of the thigh and passing almost through, lodged just under the femoral artery, inflicting a very painful, if not dangerous wound.
