 Sherman Daily Democrat Thursday, January 5, 1911 pg. 7 MARTIN SPRINGS To the Democrat: Martin Springs, January 2 - Most every one is taking advantage of the hog-killing weather. The young people seemed to enjoy themselves during the holidays. There were several parties in the neighborhood. The watch party at Mrs. Holland's was enjoyed very much. The party given at Mr. Wilson's Tuesday night was a success. There were other parties in the adjoining communities that were well attended. The schools are all beginning work again today after the holidays. Miss Susie Golden of Orange, Texas, visited at W.B. Golden's last Thursday and Friday. Miss Lena Higdon, who has been spending the holidays with home folks, returned to Denton today, where she is attending the College of Industrial Arts.
