Mantua Cemetery, also known as the Newt Taylor Family Cemetery, covered approximately two acres.  It may have been located
at the intersection of CR373, south of a branch of Hurricane Creek.  At one time a map showed its location being west of the Mantua School and north of the Mantua Christian Church.

Known to be buried in the Mantua Cemetery is DAVID SHANKS who died in August 1883

Other burials said to be in the Mantua Cemetery are:
  • Mary Taylor, age 4 months
  • Pauline Taylor, age 8 years
  • Nancy S. McKinney

Nancy S. McKinney is said to have been buried in her wedding dress, dying right before her wedding. She is not the daughter of Younger Scott McKinney who lived to be middle aged.
