Everyone reported an enjoyable time. Oscar Kirk and Mr. and Mrs. Rat Howard spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. J.O. Kirk. School opened today after 2 weeks' holiday, with Miss Flora Frances the assistant. Miss Carrie King, who has been visiting friends in Sherman and Collinsville, returned home Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Frances from Vinson, Oklahoma, have been visiting relatives here. Mrs. W.B. Jones of Wichita Falls is visiting her mother, Mrs. M.B. Francis. Misses Belle Hestand and Gussie Teague, who are attending school at Cordell, Oklahoma, spent Christmas with homefolks. Miss Minnie Fogle from Whitewright and Miss Margaret Shaw from Sherman are visiting their friend, Miss Lucile Francis. Mrs. Ila Reynolds is visiting her sister near Ft. Worth. Mr. Benson Smith was in Sherman Saturday. Mrs. Dr. Freeman of Pottsboro visited relatives here Sunday. Miss Bernice Howard, who is teaching school at Cordell, Okahoma, spent Christmas with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C.J. Howard. Ira Smith from Jameson was here Saturday. Tom McDonald and Will Copeland were in Ft. Worth last week. Horace Blackburn and sister, Ardis, are visiting their grandmother, Mrs. Benson Smith. Misses Ruth Kirk and Alma Morrison visited relatives here last week. Willie Brookshire of Jameson was in this community Sunday. Paul Orr and Miss Gertrude Bennett were united in marriage last Sunday. Their friends with them a long and happy life. Ivy Burleson and sister, Miss Goldia, spent Christmas with their cousins, Miss Inez and Ernest Riley. Mrs. A.E. Miller, who has been visiting her daughter at Vinson, Oklahoma, has returned home. Mrs. Kate Sheriden and mother, Mrs. Rains, visited T.L. McDonald last week. J.N. Dickson returned to his school at Cannon Sunday. Miss Lucile Teague left Tuesday for Denton where she will attend the North Texas State Normal.
