LUELLA

To the Democrat:
Luella, Tex., March 1 - Cold wet weather continues, and farmers are getting badly behind with their work.
Mrs. M.B. Francis left last week for an extended visit to her daughter, Mrs. Fay Jones, who lives in Wichita Falls.
We are glad to note that Mrs. ...Smith, who has been quite sick for some time, is somewhat improved at this writing.
There was no Sunday School and prayer meeting last Sunday on account of bad weather, it being the first time it has been rained out entirely this year.
Quite a number from Luella are taking in "First Monday" at Sherman today.
On last Sunday morning the death angel visited the home of E.B. Pickle and claimed for his own little Willie, aged 2 years.  Interment was at Providence cemetery Sunday at 11 a.m.  The bereaved family has heartfelt sympathy of all friends.
W.H. Armstrong is having some improvement done on his residence in Luella, recently purchased from Mr. McKinney.  It is presumed that Mr. Armstrong will shortly move to Luella, where he will be nearer his business.  We heartily welcome all such additions to our little berg.
Grain is looking really well in this community.  It only needs some bright sunshine with a good season in the ground to insure a good crop.
Fruit seems to be safe so far.  If Z... don't make a pop call later on, we hope for a good fruit crop this year.
