Friday, April 24, 1942 pg 14 Howe First Over Top In Navy Relief Howe was the first Grayson county community to report "over the top" on the navy relief drive. Although the regular drive opened Thursday, Yeury George, chairman, reported a total of $27.75 had been contributed before that time against a quota of $25, and more contributions to come in.
