To the Democrat:
Howe, Texas, June 15 - Misses Minnie Brooks and Eloise Holt are visiting in Sherman.
Miss Cleo Etter of Oklahoma City is the guest of Miss Neva Collins.
Mrs. Adrian Alexand of Sherman is the guest of R.C. Bush and family.
Rev. W.K. Strother and family are here from Stamford, the guest of Mrs. Martha Duke.  Rev. Strother has been elected to the presidency of Alexander Collgiate Institute at Jacksonville, a position which he filled several years ago.
Supt. W.C. Johnson and family are visiting at Whitewright.
Grady Burke has returned to Houston.
Mrs. Bob Edwards of Denton came in last week to attend the funeral of her father, Capt. T.W. Burke, who died last Friday night.
Mrs. Hayes Hughes returned from Madill.
Mrs. Sam Thompson returned to Madill Sunday.
Miss Louisa Nagel has returned to Sherman after a visit here.
Miss Bertha Kepler of Van Alstyne visited in Howe.
Miss Annie Wheat and Midge Bush are attending the normal at Austin college.
Miss Martha Hughes is in Madill.
Mrs. Lon Douglas of Van Alstyne visited in Howe Saturday.
The Union Sunday school picnic given at Woodlake by the Howe Sunday schools last Wednesday, was well attended.
