Howe School Ag boys and Ag teacher, Paul Shields, planted rose bushes around the front playground of the school, now Middle School. Beautiful red roses still bloom.  In the late 40's and early 50's, there was a red light at the intersection of
Tutt and then Highway 75, another red light at Haning Avenue and Denney, then Highway 75. Bumper to bumper traffic
was on these streets and much attention and admiration was given to Howe's beautiful and well kept school grounds.
