1908: Willie Dee Sadler (d/o Dr.  R. W. Sadler) denied Senior Class Graduation rights.  She decided to go on a "Campaign Trail" for a senate representative.  Young ladies were not allowed to engage in such activities and were frowned upon when doing so.  Miss Sadler worked for many years in the House of Representatives in Austin, Texas.  She later owned her own public steno service at the Blackstone Hotel in Ft. Worth, Texas.

George and Artie Stockton operated Stockton's Drug Store.  Prior to Stockton's Drug Store was Roddy Mercantile. Minnie Haning McKinney was clerk in the store.

Dell Mode received an Award Certificate  March 1, 1912 for "Neither Tardy Nor Absent" from Howe ISD.  The certificate was signed by  Gertrude Schooling, teacher, and S. B. Sivells, superintendent.  His brother, Arlie Mode, said that a monthly certificate was given and, after receiving four monthly certificates, an Award Certificate was given.  Dell Mode was responsible for keeping Howe city offices, reading water meters, making out the bills, etc.  Arlie said that Dell had to keep the water well going.  Many times he and his wife, Bertha, would take a cot and sleep and spend the night taking care of the water well.

October 01, 1925 Floyd Stracner and Oneidta Caldwell married.
