HAGERMAN
To the Democrat:
Hagerman, August 3 - Mrs. S.H. Keyes of Sherman spent Sunday with Mrs. D.G. Bennett and family.  She was accompanied by her nephew, James Andess Lane, Jr.
J.M. Cornell of Wellington, Texas arrived here Thursday.  He will spend a few days with friends and relatives here after which Mrs. J.M. Cornell and children, Katherine and J.M., Jr. will accompany him home.
Mesdames Smith and Smith were Denison visitors Saturday.
H.G. Gardiner returned Saturday from a business trip to Mangum and Oklahoma City.
A.K. Badgett of Gordonville was here Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. W.L. Anderson and family returned Thursday from a visit in Oklahoma City.
Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Cooper spent Sunday with J.A. Haydon of Basin Springs.
Mr. and Mrs. R.H. Jewell, Mr. and Mrs. R.C. Dryden, Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Turner and Mr. and Mrs. M.E. Crow attended the Bailey speaking at Whitesboro Friday night week.
W.A. Morrison was a Denison visitor Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. H.R. Dryden of Dallas spent part of last week with relatives here.
Miss Fay Terry entertained the young people with an ice cream social at the Flowing Wells Saturday evening.
Mrs. M.E. Crow is at present on a visit in Colorado City, Texas.
Mrs. J.W. Gardiner was a delegate to the Grayson County Sunday School Convention at Denison August 2 and 3.
Mrs. W.N. Smith and son, Elbert, attended the quarterly conference at Preston Saturday.
Mrs. W.C. Murrow and daughter, Jenny Louise, went to Denison Saturday to see Roy East, who is her son-in-law and who with his children, Jane and Katherine, were enroute to Waco, where they will reside in the future.
Misses Hackworth, Clark and Wallace of Sadler were guests of Miss Bettye Moorehead Sunday.
Miss Annie Laurie Lane of Sherman spent last week with friends here.
Mrs. W.N. Smith entertained with light refreshments on her spacious lawn Tuesday evening.  Old fashioned games were played in the moonlight and a good social time enjoyed by all.
Rev. W.E. Barberee of Pottsboro with Rev. W.E. Moore of Overbrook, Oklahoma will begin a series of revival services here the second Sunday in September.  Let every one begin in time to make material and spiritual preparation.
Miss Norah Smith has returned to Sherman after a 2 weeks vacation with her parents here.
Mr. and Mrs. T.M. Smith attended the Sunday School Convention at Denison Monday and Tuesday.
Miss Mabel Denny has returned from Red Branch where she assisted as organist at a tent meeting recently held there.
