Mr. and Mrs. George Scroggins spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Wade McWhorter. Mrs. Fred Wilson and children and Mrs. G.W. Hatfield spent Sunday with Mrs. Wilson's mother, Mrs. Brookshear of the Lone Star community. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Moses of Gainesville spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. McFarlin. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Williamson, Mrs. J.D. Scroggins and Mrs. W.N. Bryan were Sherman visitors Monday. Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Bell and family spent Sunday in Sherman visiting Mr. Bell's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Pierce and baby spent Sunday with Mrs. Pierce's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.M. Minnis. The county home demonstration agent, Miss Hightower, met with the Ethel club Tuesday afternoon and plans were made for achievement day. Mrs. W. Landrum of Kingston, Oklahoma visited in the home of Mrs. W.N. Bryan Saturday. She was accompanied home by her mother, Mrs. W.L. Riggs. Miss Edra Matlock is visiting Mildred Leverett in Oklahoma this week. Mr. and Mrs. W.N. Bryan were Sherman visitors Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Walker and family spent Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. McFarlin. Carried over from last week: Mrs. W.L. Riggs is improving rapidly from a serious illness. Misses Mozelle Sanders and Ellaveach McWhorter spent Sunday with Geraldine Sanders. Mr. and Mrs. L. McFarlin and family and Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Ingle and family spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Scoggins. A forty-two party and gift shower was given Saturday night in the home of Mr. and Mrs. R.D. Bell in honor of Fred Wilson. He received many useful gifts and a refreshment course was served to a large crowd. Mr. Wilson will leave for a Kerrville hospital Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Brookshear of Houston spent the weekend with here with friends and relatives. Mrs. Frank Brooke of Denison is at the bedside of her mother, Mrs. Richards, who is ill. Ethel school opened Monday morning. A large crowd was present and a good program was enjoyed by everyone. Mrs. Dee Williamson and daughter, Ruby, spent Sunday afternoon with Mrs. W.N. Bryan.
