The Collinsville Times Friday, May 2, 1913 pg.1 ETHEL ECHOES Ethel, Texas, April 29 - Ray Dickey of Gunter was here Saturday. W.D. Gray and family were in Sadler Sunday. A.B. Patterson and son, Emmett, were in Tioga Saturday. W.H. Voelke is building a brick storm cellar. Cainch bugs are said to be eating the corn here. Rev. Chas. Cox of Indian Creek preached at the Baptist Church here Sunday in Rev. H.M. Cagles' absence. Miss Willie Reed of Collinsville is the guest of Miss Addie Voelke this week. Miss Era Dirickson who is teaching the Stith School spent Saturday and Sunday with her parents. Grandma McGehee who has been confined to her bed for some time is much better at this writing. The people of Ethel community met at the grave yard yesterday and cleaned and cared for the graves. They had lunch on the ground and Rev. Money and J.W. Owens made good talks.
