The Collinsville Times
Friday, August 7, 1914 pg 5 WITH OUR COUNTY CORRESPONDENTS Ethel Echoes The protracted meeting at this place is growing in interest. Mrs. Witt Hoesclaw of Coleman, Oklahoma, and her sister, Mrs. Shoemake, of Tioga, visited our neighborhood the last of this week. Jim Burgess and wife of Lubbock, Texas, are visiting kin folks and firends in this heighborhood. Ab Haning had a phone put in the other day so he can keep up with the times. Hiram Hackett and wife are visiting relatives here this week. I see you have a new correspondent to your paper from Center, but she writes Greek and Latin, I suppose. I can't understand her. She accuese me of . . . the girls and she is a good guesser. I have decided that she is an old maid and if she ever gets married she will have to advertise. By the way we might get up a case if I could see her. I would like for her to send her picture any way as I would like to see the picture of a scholar. Mrs. A. B. Haning is visiting in Gunter this week. WHIPPOORWILL Ethel History Susan Hawkins © 2024 If you find any of Grayson CountyTXGenWeb links inoperable, please send me a message. |
