Guests of Mr. and Mrs. Rush Stewart, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hejney and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Faber, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday of last week were Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Dvorak of Ennis, Texas.
The WMU of the Dorchester Baptist Church met Tuesday morning, September 16, at 10 a.m. at the church. Ruth Lankford called the meeting to order by asking Grace Taylor to lead in an opening prayer. Rosa Lee Murdock was in charge of the program with Grace Taylor, Mary Lankford, Ruth Lankford and Jeannette Scott taking part. The meeting was followed by a salad luncheon attended by 14 ladies and their children.
Kimberly Stewart, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Stewart, is reported to be doing better and was allowed to return home last week. She spent 5 days in the hospital and is suffering from a crack in the back of her skull received in a fall. She is to have only restricted activity for 6 more weeks.
The GA's met last Wednesday for a program on Mary Hill Davis, state missions. Kathy Word read the prayer calendar, and Ginger Lankford led in prayer for the missionaries. Two intermediates, 3 junior and the 2 counselors were in attendance.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Scott had a hamburger fry at their home Saturday night. Fifteen relatives attended the cookout.
