DORCHESTER GIRLS CLUB IS GROWING
To The Democrat:
Dorchester, Texas, Feb. 10 - The farmers are very busy this week sowing oats.
Mrs. Will Grissom has been very ill.
Wallace Hill returned Monday after visiting at numerous places in Central Texas.
W.R. Kirby is able to be back in the garage, after being on the sick list for a few days.
Miss Ethel Carroll of Blooming Grove is visiting Mr. and Mrs. James Wallace.
Miss Lois McElheny was called to Sherman Wednesday to be at the bedside of Mrs. Oscar McElheny, who had just undergone a serious operation.
The house on the S.A. Schott farm occupied by J.W. Presley was totally destroyed by fire at 1 p.m. Wednesday. Practicall all of the housegoods were lost.
J.J. Patton has moved the telephone exchange into his residence.
Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Sharp and daughters, Bessie and Fay, and Miss Nell Jackson motored to Tom Bean Saturday.
E. Mackey is on the sick list.
The Dorchester Club for girls now numbers twenty-four. There are twenty-two boys in the boys' club.
