MILLER
CABINET REVIEWS GROWTH
Denison’s
Miller Cabinet Shop, began in 1958 in a backyard location, has grown to employ
ten persons in the fulfilling of commercial and architectural millwork accounts.
Owned and operated by James D. Miller, the firm moved from the backyard of the
Miller home to its present location at 1827 South Armstrong in 1960. The building was formerly occupied by Frank
and Winfree Bank Fixture Co.; Miller purchased the facility after renting it
for several years.
Denison gained a future businessman in 1942 when Miller and his family moved
here from Montana during the construction of the Denison Dam. They liked the city and decided to make their
home here.
Employing ten persons five and a half days weekly, Millers specialty is
millwork for commercial buildings, offices, churches, schools and industries.
