KNIFFIN BROS
Commission Merchants and Dealers in Oil, Coal, Grain, Etc.
One of the firms which has done considerably more than a great deal toward
bringing Denison up to her present commercial importance is that of Kniffin
Bros., commission merchants. They have
worked up a very large trade here and in the surrounding country, in coal,
lime, grain and produce of every kind. They rule the trade in Denison and regulate prices. Their business has increased to such an
extent that they have been obliged to establish branch houses at Gainesville
and Whitesboro. If all our business men
were as enterprising and energetic, Denison would grow and expand more rapidly.
