GRAND OPENING
Waterman & Weil's Elegant Establishment
There was music in the air last night - it was the grand opening of Waterman & Weil's saloon - which is by far the handsomest and most beautifully fitted up establishment of the kind in North Texas, if not in the state. Language is inadequate to give anything like a description of the saloon. No pains nor expense has been spared to make it the most attractive resort in our city. The efforts of Waterman & Weil have been daily appreciated, as was attested by the great crowd of people which thronged their elegant establishment last evening. The upper story of the building has been set apart as a club room.
Waterman & Weil have just stocked their bar with a choice lot of cigars and liquors. They are also prepared to engage in the wholesale liquor business. It is estimated that fully 1000 persons were present at the grand opening last evening. A band of music was present on the occasion.

On January 10, 1879 the partnership between Henry Waterman and R.S. Weil, wholesale and retail liquor sales, was dissolved. Mr. Weil continued the business under his own name. (Denison Daily News, Thursday, January 16, 1879)
