D. Lamb of Dexter came in yesterday evening and brought news of a terrible accident which happened at Delaward Bend yesterday. At the residence of Mr. Shebester, someone put a stick of dynamite on the stove and it exploded with terrific force.
Following is a list of those injured:
Joe Shebester ~ right hand blown off and face burned
Dove Brewer ~ both eyes blown out
Bob Dention ~ head and face burned
Mrs. Shebester ~ cut about the face and head
Ellis Shebester ~ cut about the head
Daniel Shebester ~ cut on the head
Denton was blown about thirty feet.
The house was blown to pieces, caught fire and was totally destroyed.
The place is about eight or ten miles below Dexter.
