FARMER MURDERED
Collinsville, Tex., July 30 - E.L. Parsons, a farmer living six miles west of Collinsville, was murdered Sunday afternoon near his home. While waiting for his wife to get dinner he went to the field to cut some corn for his horses. Mrs. Parsons is an invalid, unable to leave the house, and when her husband did not return to dinner she could only wait for some neighbors to happen in.
Late in the evening one did come and then a search was begun. About 9 o'clock the body was found. His head had been beaten with a club and the skull was fractured in a number of places.
