Thursday, March 5, 1908 pg.7 COLLINSVILLE Collinsville, Tex., March 5 - Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Graves came in from Tyler last Thursday and are visiting Mrs. Graves' parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. King. Mrs. J.W. Dishman visited her daughter, Miss Arla, who is attending college in Ft. Worth, this week. Miss Myrtle Mullins attended the Grand Lodge of I.O.O.F. at Ft. Worth this week. Mrs. Woodford and Mrs. Parka of Tioga visited Mrs. Fran k McKinney this week. Miss Carrie King, who is teaching school close to Atoka, Oklahoma, spent Saturday with home folks. Last Friday night at Ethel, Prof. G.C. Woodson spoke to a large audience on "Texas." He showed the State to be ahead on school funds, but, behind on education. He made a strong plea for the men to vote on the 2 school amendments at the next election. He was followed by Prof. John Dickey, who made a good speech on "The Consolidation of Schools." Mesdames J.P. Ball and J.L. Wilson visited Mrs. B.B. Newman and Mrs. Horace Vaught at Tioga Sunday. Misses Bess Malone visited friends in Tioga Sunday. Mesdames J.E. Corey and L.G. Bambarger attended the I.O.O.F. meeting at Ft. Worth this week, as did F.F. Rodgers, Henry Naylor and Dr. N.L. Davidson. Mrs. W.R. Stroud of Ardmore is visiting her mother, Mrs. Jewell, and her sister, Miss Jewell. Miss Eula Dishman visited friends and relatives at Whitesboro and Sadler this week. Rev. John Moore returned from Tioga Monday where he preached Sunday. Collinsville History
